ok, i don't want to beat around the bush.i tell you what i like and what i don't.

so:
- i like the buttons on the left and their letters - the type;but not necessary the colors of the buttons
- the logo on the top of the site is ok,but not outstanding.it wanna remind on the old bwmn one,right?if i would be you i will try to integrate in that blue part some units pictures.maybe one zerg unit + 1 terran unit + 1 toss unit.it is too simple for my taste like it is now.
- i dont like the type of the letters that u used in the logo; the blue ones,for MCN.the small red are fine
- the news title banners are too big.also the type of the letters is not fine,again
- but what i dislike the most is the color of the site.it's simply too bright and agressiv for the eyes.sure the old dark blue wasn't ok.but what you have now is the other extreme.and btw,it makes the white font obsolete.everywhere the white font touched the site color like in the user list,is becoming useless/invisible.presently you cannot read lost tampon's or my own account name.sure,we can change it - no big deal - but the point is the white font would become useless.bright gray or tan are a better choice for the colour of the site

this doesn't mean i don't appreciate what you done so far,little bandit

hmm maybe i could change it to a light grey... I dont want any starcraft-related pictures in the design, though.

i'd also appreciate a bit calmer background color, getting a headache from the bright white (or from the beer i drank?)

I think it's strange that you consider white an aggressive color. many web pages, word documents or pdf files are mostly white.

Well I'm not really happy with it yet, neither. IE shows it a bit different than firefox, too.

the grey like at the border left and right from the actual site, would that be better as background?

well,i'm using firefox but cannot see anything gray at the left or the right border of the site .the only gray that i see is on the bottom of the site - but this is still far to bright,and nearly to the top of the site - where the kerrigan button is.that gray would be fine but i would suggest to change the comment colour from black to white if you make this change.

if you wanna upgrade it a bit u can integrate some texture;that way the site woudn't look so sterile

btw,make the comment box larger

omg my eyes, pick something dark and colourful, but not necessarily as dark as bwm. Even that grey will be hard on the eyes I think oO

i guess if you use this texture - like u use it for buttons/titles,for the site background it would make the entire look of the site more exquisit.also i think if the color of the site would be a bit darker couldn't hurt too.i don't wanna be fussy,but the colour of the site is presently still too bright

if you doubt my opinion just look in the user list - it's still hard to read the white font like in Grief_Stricken & LostTampon. also for gray fonts like in spinesheath & Iceman

right now i feel its too bright too...which is strange, as many pages that are mostly white dont strike me as bright like that.

I hope that I can get wanja to become the color and graphics guy, because i really prefer writing code over changing color values

btw if anyone has some clear idea of what needs to be done in order to look better and has some time on his hands, I can give access to the css files and templates. It really isn't that hard, especially if you know some CSS. Email me if you want to give it a shot. Even if it is just changing the background-color
